Michelangelo Action Figure

The last of the 4 of my Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles repaints, Michelangelo!  This was pretty much a repaint on the actual figure.  I also put real chains on the nunchucks.

Check out the other turtles I've worked on.

Leonardo Action Figure

I've been on a huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle kick.  I've read the first trade of the new comic book and just watched the first episodes of the new cartoon.  On top of that the new action figures are fantastic. The sculpts are fantastic and every turtle has their own unique look to it. The only thing it could really use is a better paint job.  First up, the fearless leader, Leonardo.  More of the figures to come later.

Tribe One Action Figure

For the folks that don't know Niles Gray aka Tribe One is an incredibly awesome rapper as well as a very good friend of mine.  He even wrote the theme song to Earth's Mightiest Podcast.  So earlier in the year his girlfriend contacted me about making a Tribe One action figure for his birthday.  She wanted a super hero version of him. She wanted to make sure he had a mic with something Devil Dinosaur-ish (that's his favorite comic book character ever).

Niles in his Super-Flybrarian form.
So I talked to my fellow Earth's Mightiest Podcast co-host Alex to do the super hero design and this is the awesomeness that he came up with.  Notice the T and O logo design from Rusty Shackles.

So on to the action figure.  I ordered a Fisher Price T-rex with a poorly places trigger for chomping action.  The funny thing is that I ordered it from Ebay only to find out it's missing an arm!  So of course the only thing to do is to replace the arm with a gun!  The actual Tribe One action figure was made using a Marvel Legends Drax figure with a combination of a Black Panther collar and Dr. Doom cape.  I really didn't have the time to make the cape exactly how Alex drew it, but I think I got the point across.

She-Hulk Action Figure

For all the folks that know me I'm a huge She-Hulk fan.  The Marvel Legends She-Hulk that came out had a decent sculpt, but I didn't care for the hairstyle.  I decided to go with the big 80's haircut style.  On top of that both of her hands are open.  She punches things!

So here's my modified version of Marvel Legends She-Hulk.  I took the existing She-Hulk action figure, swapped the hair out with a Marvel Legends Phoenix hair, and swapped out the hands with DC Universe fists.

Uncanny X-Force Nightcrawler Action Figure

Big fan of the Uncanny X-Force book and glad they brought back Nightcrawler.  Nightcrawler was made using an existing Marvel Legends Nightcrawler.  The hair was sculpted and the swords were toothpick swords.

Carol Danvers Captain Marvel Action Figure

Carol Danvers aka Ms. Marvel is going to the next Captain Marvel!  Her new solo ongoing book will be coming out in June.  I'm really looking forward to picking it up.

Captain Marvel was made using a Marvel Legends 2 pack Skrull Elektra and a 2 pack Black Widow (short hair) head.  The extra hair, sash, and gloves were all sculpted.

Steve Rogers Super Soldier Action Figure

Marvel Legends are back!!  So I was excited to see the new Marvel Legends Wave 1 come out only to be disappointed with the Steve Rogers Super Soldier figure.  The head looks too big, the star on the chest is too small, and there are no stars on the shoulders.

Steve Rogers was made from a DCU Classics Superman.  I used the rubber strands from the cape of a ML Mr. Sinister for the straps, and used the lower legs and shield from the existing ML Steve Rogers.

War of Kings Comic Book Bind

Here's some more books I got from the bindery.  Continuing my binds to the cosmic Marvel series I got the War of Kings crossover series.  I was a big fan of Annihilation and the Annihilation Conquest Saga, and this series did not disappoint.

Here is the mapping for the books.
